IE 5.5 and Acrobat Reader 6.01
Each time I use Instanet, a web based forms manager, I get the error message
in Windows ME/IE 5.5:"Iexplorer has caused an error in<unknown>. Iexplorer
will shut down now." Instanet uses the Acrobat Reader to allow me to fill in
contracts online. Just before the form gets ready to load, the above explorer
message comes up. I have tried reloading the latest version of Acrobat Reader
and clearing out the cookies files, but continue to have the problem. I had
been able to use Instanet previous without issue prior to my computer
crashing a few weeks ago. This issue has happenend since doing a
nondestructive system recovery-if this has any relevance to the problem. Any
other ideas on how to correct the problem?

<unknown> errors are generally caused by malware:

Re: IE 5.5 and Acrobat Reader 6.01
Thru another posting on the message boards, I was finally able to completely
download for IE service pack 6.0 and all of its components. Once that was
completed, the Instanet program started functioning properly. The form loads
without any errors.
The information provided about the spyware is helpful since we have recently
started using DSL. Getting the proper security for it has been challenging,
since the computer crash happened after we installed it.
