GlobHist.htm - recording history   

The file "GlobHist.htm" was used by IE versions associated with Windows up to 
Windows 3.1 to record web pages visited.
Can anyone confirm 
(1) that this file was no longer used to record history in IE associated 
with Windows 95
(2) how was history recorded in IE associated with Windows 95 and later
