If you don't get an answer here, then you might ask in an OE6 group,
as it appears to be a mail application question, not an IE browser
question.

Wow, I haven't seen this for a while.
You should use "Western European (ISO)" for Encoding. Places to check this
in OE5:
- Tools, Options, Send, International
- Tools, Options, Read, Font
- Tools, Options, Read, International
- When composing a message, look in Format, Encoding
