Upgrade from IE5.5 to IE6.0   
Trouble with Service Pack upgrade. Can I just upgrade system to IE 6.00 My PC 
is operating Windows ME.

Yes.  You can install IE 6.0 on a WinME machine.

When installing IE, it's best to first do a power-off reboot, then disable 
any anti-virus program you may have running, then do a CTRL+ALT+DEL and End 
Task on everything on the list except (Windows) Explorer and Systray.  Then 
try your install again.  This method will help prevent any program you may 
have running in the background, and the anti-virus software, from 
interfering with the install of IE.  Some AV software just plain messes up 
an install of IE, and other programs may be using a file that IE needs to 
update/replace/remove.

Jon, Many thanks but just one thing more please. Do I have to uninstall IE5.5 
first before I install IE6.00.
