my browser will not recognize "www" addresses, only http:// Is there a setting that you can enable so that you don't have to type the full address into the address bar?
I wasn't aware this would apply to anyone using IE5.5 but see if it looks relevant. Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install security update MS06-015 (15 Apr-06) http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/918165 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-015.mspx has been revised to v1.1 to reflect the issues in KB918165 and now points to the KB918165. Now may not be the time to learn Regedit. I suggest you use a .reg file already done for the purpose. http://patch-info.de/WinXP/Downloads/KB908531_Share-To-Web.zip Unzip it, extract the .reg file to a folder, right-click it and select Merge and confirm when asked. ....Alan -- Alan Edwards, MS MVP Windows - Internet Explorer http://dts-l.org/index.html On Wed, 19 Apr 2006 22:08:01 -0700, in microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.browser, Stefano06 wrote: >my browser will not recognize "www" addresses, only http:// Is there a >setting that you can enable so that you don't have to type the full address >into the address bar?
