Broken update
A it ago, I decided to do a Win 2000 update.
15 "critical" files were downloaded, then the installation started.

In the midst of installing the .NET 2 framework SP 1, I started getting lots
of messages about
msiexec.exe.

I noticed that I had lost my modem connection.
So I rebooted and tried again.

It was not necessary to download any files, so Windows Update continued with
the remaining files.

However, the ,NET Framework update was not listed, and trying Windows update
again, it says that need no updates.

In this case, as we speak, I am directly downloading NetFx20SP1_x86.exe.

But, what is one supposed to correct such situations?
