delete files installation information??
Hello all,

I am using windows 2000

In order to keep backups of all data on my small system I have backed up all
files to a removable drive
( including the program files folder)

This removable drive only acts as a repository for files and doesnt boot up
or act as a system folder
for ant programs that are run.

I have mapped this folder as L:

On this drive i have a folder called "programfilesbackup " and my backup
program copies the files from
My "c: \program files " folder onto this backup folder every time i do a
backup.

I notice many folders called " installation information" in this folder.

Will if be safe to delete these folders ( I doubt if I will ever have to do
an uninstall on the L:)

Observations and suggestions are sincerely appreciated

best regards fred evans

Computers,printers,modems,consoles etc
had a built-in compartment or tray in which to keep all the books
and software for that piece of equipment
