Problem installing updates after download
Greetings,

I have inherited a Win2K laptop that I'm trying to update/patch. I can
access Windows and MS Update no problem, and the updates download, but then
they fail to install. I consistently get a message saying that there is a
problem on my computer that is preventing the updates from being installed.

I suspect that the previous user was mucking around with both services and
group policy and was wondering there were any settings there that I should
be taking notice of.

Any advice?

TIA

John
