Hello, installing security update KB936782 fails. I am translating the German messages etc. to English. Thus, my explanation might not contain the same expressions an English windows system would show. That issue occurred on another PC using Win2000 and Media Player 9 in German language. Starting Microsoft Update manually, other updates worked but the installation of KB936782 ran for hours without ending. Finally, I cancelled it. Re-starting the PC and re-running Microsoft Update did not do anything better. My next ettempt: Re-starting PC. Downloading file WindowsMedia9-KB936782-x86-DEU.exe from <http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=de&FamilyID=bd4a6474-5fde-415e-840e-7d973cb71c95>. Running WindowsMedia9-KB936782-x86-DEU.exe. The installation started. While checking the available disk space, it did not continue. That check of the available disk space has been running for hours. But there are several GB of free disk apace. I wonder why that check seems to have run into a deadlock(?). Please, does somebody know how to solve that issue? TIA.
