Windows 2000 SVR to 2003 SVR STD Upgrade
I go through the upgrade procedure from the disc which seems to run fine.
Then it wants to reboot to start the Setup Server 2003 (dos type screen) and
I see no activity. No activity on the HDD or CD/DVD. No movement on the DOS
screen. Server is a Dell 2900. I can do a fresh install but I will lose all
my settings and backup logs. Let me know if there is a way around this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Not sure about this at all, but you can try the following:

1- Before the upgrade and with windows 2003 cd inserted at cd drive, run the
following commands:

adprep /forestprep
adprep /domainprep.

2- Run the upgrade process

Re: Windows 2000 SVR to 2003 SVR STD Upgrade
Thanks for the response. I did that already. I believe that it is an issue
with the raid controller and windows does not know how to talk to it. I
don't even get far enough to f6 to load additional driver. It just hangs.

I hope that helps.
