I am trying to upgrade RAM on an HP Proliant ML310 server. I have (2) CORSAIR 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 266 (PC 2100) ECC Registered Server Memory Model CM72SD1024RLP-2100. When I place these into slots 1 and 2 and try and boot the computer a black screen comes up with what looks like a command line that reads: "...tion utility" (it runs off the upper right hand side of the screen). I can't input or get any reply from this screen. The server is running Microsoft Small Business Server 2000, 5.00.2195, service pack 4. Thanks for any help. Angharad

Hi Angharad: I am afraid that you will have problems with the CORSAIR memory. Not because it a bad brand or the modules are faulty, but becuase the HP hardware is very picky regarding the memory. My advice it is that you use Compaq-HP memory for your server. With laptops and deskop, you can open your hand and install 3dr party memory. -- Un saludo Juan Perez "Angharad" wrote in message news:Xns9AA5734977F00Angharad@130.81.64.196... >I am trying to upgrade RAM on an HP Proliant ML310 server.
