All of a sudden started getting Delayed Write Failed popups that refer to \$Mft. No other description is given and the event log shows nothing else except the popup event. Could I have a failing drive or controller? Everything seems to be working correctly and am having no other issues with the server... yet.
I'd download and run a disk diagnostic utility from the drive manufacturer's web site. -- Regards, Dave Patrick ....Please no email replies - reply in newsgroup. Funny thing, it only seems to happen when the backup is running. This server is my mail server and backup server. Wierd. I'll see if I can find a diagnostic for the drive(s). Thanks. Which drive is displaying this message? It typically is indicative of a hardware issue. If you are backing up to removable storage, then the issue may be hardware related. Turn disable write caching on the drive. - Greg/Raxco Software Microsoft MVP - Windows File System Want to email me? Delete ntloader.
