switching TS device CALs to user CALs
I have searched the various tech groups, including this one, for information
on how to switch TS CALs from device to user in Server2003 standard. I
understand that with a Software Agreement there is the option of a one time
switch in mid-contract, and to do this all you need to do is to contact....
Microsoft? Clearinghouse? I have been brought in after the fact by the
client to rectify some licensing issues and can't find out if the current
client has a SA in regards to their TS licensing. How can I determine this?
And once I know the status of the SA - who do I contact regarding switching
the licenses? Is there a particular phone number or web page to visit?

Thanks in advance.

Re: switching TS device CALs to user CALs
You will have to dig up your license agreement to see if you have
SA, Microsoft will not know about that. You could try to contact
the original vendor of the licenses, maybe they have it still on
record.

If you *have* SA, then you have to phone the Microsoft
Clearinghouse, and they will re-issue a new set of licenses.
