Session Time out
When I RDP into a Terminal Server (either with AD or not) and then walk away
from the session for longer than 10 minutes, well when I come back to the
session it is locked (as in lock workstation) and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL and
then enter my password to get back into the same session. How can I increase
this timeout time or get rid of it entirely. Preferably not through group
policy as one server does not have AD.

Re: Session Time out
If you can unlock after Ctrl-Alt-Del, then it is the screen saver on
your local workstation.

If you can unlock after Ctrl-Alt-End, then it is the screen saver on
the Terminal Server.

Disable the screen saver where it is enabled: either in a AD-based
GPO, the local policy on the server (with gpedit.msc), or in your own
profile.

Re: Session Time out
It doesn't come up with the option of Ctrl+ Alt+Del it just comes up with
Workstation locked enter password. I checked the local PC screensaver
settings and they were set to 60minutes but the session timeout is 10minutes.
How can I set it on the server without AD?

Re: Session Time out
As I wrote, with gpedit.msc
Note that this has nothing to do with a session time out (if it
was, you would be disconnected from the server). It's the screen
saver.
