Share Custom RDP file between several users
Hi All,

We have terminal server that we use for management.
I created custom RDP file that connect from the management server to another
terminal server with the option of "save password" marked, and put this RDP
on the desktop of all the terminal users.
When I'm running this RDP from my user (the user that I created the custom
RDP with) its working ok.
When I'm running the custom RDP when logon as a different user the password
didn't saved (I need to enter the password)

How can I share custom RDP file between several users and verify that the
password saved?

Thanks,

Nir

Re: Share Custom RDP file between several users
You can't.
For security reasons, the password is encrypted in such a way that
only the same user, on the same machine, can decrypt it.

Just teach the users that they type in their password on first
connection, and save it into a personal rdp file.

Alternatively, if all users are using the same account and
password, you can set the username and password in Terminal
Services Configuration admin tool.

Be sure to uncheck "Always prompt for password", no matter which
way you do it.

Re: Share Custom RDP file between several users
Can you please give more info how to "set the username and password in
terminal services configuration admin tool"?
I search on the net and didn't find any article regarding this.

Thanks,

Nir

Re: Share Custom RDP file between several users
Start - Administrative Tools - Terminal Services Configuration -
rdp-tcp connection properties - Logon settings
