Only Administrator can ping router
I recently added a new user with Admin privileges on Win2000 Pro, in
addition to the default Administrator. That new user cannot ping the router.

(The username is the normal login id for other computers on the network that
have no problem accessing the network).

I tried adding another user, same result.

The original Administrator can still access the network normally.

Any ideas as to how to troubleshoot?

Thanks in advance.
