Re: PC by remote and test it? The IP is: 192.168.1.3
How can I find my real outside world IP coming from the Westell DSL Modem?
winipcfg only give the internal ip addresses even though I will not post
them here to strangers - 'Never go with strangers, go with honest Louisiana
politicians.'

These sites will do that...
http://www.whatismyip.com/
http://checkip.dyndns.org/
If you have Remote Desktop enabled on your PC go to this site and put 3389 in the window then click
the "Check" button. It will tell you if you have port forwarding setup correctly...

Your modem probably has an internal (to your network) ip address of
192.168.1.1, try connecting to that with your browser. It may ask for a
userid and password, which should be in the box your modem came in, or
perhaps on a CD that came with it.
Once you browse to the modem successfully, you should be able to get its
external ip address.
However, like the others here have said, it would be terribly unwise to
give that info out to strangers such as this newsgroup.
