I have a Microsoft Media Center PC which i use to record late night programs, But i would like to know how do I tell my computer to turn off when I'm not there.You know all that save the world stuff I don't want to waste energy.

AutoPowerOn&Shutdown http://www.lifsoft.com/ Using a program which employs hibernate allows for the PC to be restarted after a shutdown. Programs which employ hibernate claim to use even less power than "sleep," and to be resilient for continued operation after actual power outages. The above mentioned program has worked flawlessly for me for more than 6 months.
