i have three users on my pc one being the administrator (which no one knows the password), what happens is when the user logs in it goes straight to logging off saving settings. anyone have any ideas? i remeoved the drive and scanned for virus' none were found.
This is most often a problem with userinit.exe or with its registry pointer in the winlogon registry key. A somewhat tricky problem, the only real way you can investigate this is from a 'Live CD' such as BartPE, since the computer will not start even in safe mode. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/reskit/regentry/12330.mspx?mfr=true "Joe" wrote: > i have three users on my pc one being the administrator (which no one knows > the password), what happens is when the user logs in it goes straight to > logging off saving settings. anyone have any ideas? i remeoved the drive and > scanned for virus' none were found.
