Network Printer
Here's my setup

3 computers on a domain. All 3 can be logged into locally and of course can
be logged on to the domain.

Computer1 has 2 printers attached and can be accessed from all computers
when they are logged on the domain. Computer1 can of course access the
printer when logged on locally or the domain.

Problem: Computer2 when logged on locally cannot access the printer on
Computer1. The printers are shared and listed in the directory. When I browse
for the printer I get an error stating that the printer cannot be found or
may have been spelled incorrectly. I am the domain admin so I am not sure
what is going on.

Any suggestions?

Re: Network Printer
Normal behavior in a Domain environment. In order to access Domain
resources (printers, file shares, etc.), you must be logged into it.

Re: Network Printer
Hal,

Thanks for the response but I actually fixed the problem.

Solution: From Computer2 when logged in locally, I browsed Network Places to
Computer1, went to Printers on Computer1 and right clicked and dragged too
Printers on Computer2 and when I let go of the drag I got 2
options....Install and Properties........so I clicked install and it
installed the printer or at least a shortcut, although no shortcut arrow is
showing, on Computer2.

All is well and working fine.

Thanks
D
