Network Share no longer works but Internet does
Background:
2 XP Pro Desktops
DHCP from ISP Router (All Automatic)
Originally was setup with static IPs changed over to DHCP when old ISP
connection was installed. Nothing special.
No restrictions on share of main system
Can ping each desktop system with laptop
Each system can ping my laptop
Can see all three in network neighborhood
Both second desktop and my laptop can see share of main system

Here is the problem. Changed ISPs and replaced Router with new one. Now I
can't ping desktops with my laptop. Can ping my laptop from each desktop. All
three get IP addresses/info from new router. All three can get internet. Two
Desktops cannot see each other. Two Desktops cannot ping each other, but
again can ping my laptop, but laptop cannot ping either system. All three can
ping router, but router cannot ping two desktops. Router can ping my laptop.

Only thing that has changed is the router/ISP. Bad Router? I have tried 3
different routers and the same thing. One router, I pulled from my house
where I know that there are no restrictions for sharing or anything else that
would stop the 3 systems from seeing each other. Hooked everything back up
to the old router, and bam everything works except for the internet, due to
ISP connection not connect anymore. Tried to configure the old router with
the new ISP service, but it won't work. ISP doesn't support that router.

Other things I've tried: Repaired each connection on each system
successfully. Released and renewed with IPCONFIG. Cleared DNS with IPCONFIG.
Tried to Clear Arp. No Arp tables defined.

Any Ideas? I don't know what else to try and need to get this fixed.

Any firewall programs? They might have to be configured to trust the
IP address range assigned by the new router.

Re: Network Share no longer works but Internet does
Hey Steve,

Hope. No firewall programs. As a matter of fact I even disabled all the
windows firewall settings and uninstalled the only anti virus program they
had to see if that was the problem.

Thanks.
