movie maker problem   
i keep getting this message whenever i try to import pictures to movie maker..
D:\My Documents\My Pictures\poison_sign.png could not be imported.Unspecified
error..i cant import. please help..

It may be worth a try to copy the files to your C:\
drive and convert them to .bmp before importing.

MM does not work with png files, so converting to BMP as John says should 
cure the problem.

ive tried it.neither of them worked.. is there any way that i can re-install
the program completely? any useful links?

MM is part of windows so a windows re-install is the only true way of doing 
it.
If you are only using pictures yu may want to try photostory which is 
designed for stills, but not png though, so you could try your bitmaps in 
there.
