Movie Won't Play Reliably in PowerPoint 2007
I have a colleague who made a movie of using a computer app with Windows
Moviemaker and inserted it (as .avi) into a PowerPoint 2007 presentation.
When he plays it back, sometimes it plays beautifully, but sometimes it
freezes up, the screen goes green, and he can't close, escape, or anything.
He is not doing anything differently each time he tries to play it. Does
anyone know any tricks to make it play beautifully every time?

Since .avi files could be using any codec under the sun, when I import any
movie into PowerPoint, I always us .WMV video files that I have created from
the original files. They have always worked perfectly for me when
transferring from one computer to another. Worth a try.

Thanks, I'll tell him to give that a try.

RE: Movie Won't Play Reliably in PowerPoint 2007
I am having the same problem, even when I create a .wmv file with Movie
Maker. Sometimes PowerPoint 2007 plays the file, and sometimes it freezes
with a green screen. Any further advice?
