deleting unwanted contacts
Hi! I installed win live messenger v. 2008 [ build 8.5. 1302.1018] and it
looks great. I like it, but it has put all my contacts from hotmail contacts
into messenger contacts.

And when I right click on the contacts and click "delete" I get the message;
"This contact is shared by hotmail, if you delete contacts, they will also be
deleted from hotmail contacts"

There doesn't seem to be a way to just get rid of them from Messenger,
but still have them in my hotmail contacts.

The "help" section doesn't answer this problem. I don't want to just
"block" them. There are too many.

Another problem is that when I put a new contact in hotmail contacts,
it also, goes into messenger contacts.

Please, has any one else handled this difficulty?

RE: deleting unwanted contacts
Hi Tassie
You can filter your contacts to display messenger contacts only. To filter
them follow these steps: 1- From the menu bar at messenger window, open
(Contacts) menu and choose (Filter Contacts).
2- Then choose (Messenger Contacts Only).
So Hotmail contacts will not be displayed. Just messenger contacts.
Hope it helps
