(Cross-posted in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general). I used to have 6 icons in the Notification area (system tray) in one single row. After a drive reformat and reinstall of XP, the 6 icons are now in two rows of 3 each, and I can't figure out how to get them back into 1 row as before. I know it's no big deal, but if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'll appreciate it. Thanks, George
Umm, click on the top edge of the taskbar and drag it down to one row's height? Be sure that Lock the Taskbar is unchecked "George" wrote in message news:%23tYVw0P$IHA.3756@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... Your Quick Launch toolbar icons could bigger (double in size) than your Notification area icons. If so, rightclick on an empty space on your taskbar and click to remove the check mark on "Lock the Taskbar" if its checked. Right click on the left dotted border on the Quick Launch toolbar right of Start button. On the context menu that appears click "View" (top most) then click "Small Icons" if "Large Icon" is checked. That should bring the Quick Launch toolbar icons smaller and the Notification area icons to a single row. -- Rey "George" wrote: > (Cross-posted in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general). > > I used to have 6 icons in the Notification area (system tray) in one single > row.
