Error Message!
Using IE7. Lately, when surfing and clicking on a variety of websites (some
new, most are farmiliar) I have been getting a frequent pop-up error message
that reads "Internet Explorer Cannot Open Internet site www.xxx.xxx -
Operation Aborted." Then when I click OK it takes me to the blue IE
page...Internet Explorer Cannot Display this page, etc. Often when I
refresh, the page I want then appears!

Can someone please explain why this is happening and provide a fix. All
help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Fran

RE: Error Message!
Try these:

In IE, Click Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab and then under Browsing
uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions", after you uncheck that
option, close all open IE windows and restart your browser and check if the
error is still there. If the error goes away, it was an add-on that was
causing it. Now, once you know it is an add-on you can reenable add-ons and
then disable them one by one in Tools > Manage Addons to find the offending
culprit. In my case it was a Skype plugin causing this problem.
