After I downgraded two Vista PCâs to XP Pro, I found a plain-jane VGA screen (800x600/16 colors) and no sound. These PCâs use Intel 845G chipsets. I downloaded a driver(s) from Intelâs Website. Alas, this didnât include a sound driver for this chipset. I installed a spare sound card in one of the PCâs and all was fine. Before I buy a new sound card, is there any way to download the correct driver from somewhere? I tried Microsoft twice with no results.
Take a look here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=825&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go!
