Hi, I have been having serious problems using Sitemanageron my dev machine for the last 3 days. Whenever I start it I get the "Could not connect..." errormessage. I went to "http://localhost/NR/System/ClientUI/login.asp" and I get the following error... Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3' Server.CreateObject Failed /NR/System/ClientUI/login.asp, line 9 800401f3 On looking at this page I see it is trying to create an object "AESession.AESession.1" and fails. I have tried to re-register this object (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Content Management Server\Server\bin\AEServerObject.dll) but I keep getting access denied errors from regsvr32. I have done a ProcMon trace and I can see I get an "Access Denied" error accessing key "HKCR\AESession.AESession.1". Adding permisions for the world makes not difference. Any cluse as to why this is happening?. I have re-installed twice now but still I get the error using Site Manager. Any other tools I can use to trace the problem? Thanks, Dwight
Hi Dwight, the error indicatest that the COM object is not correctly registered. I would suggest to reinstall MCMS. Thanks for your usual quick response Setfan. As mentioned I have already installed MCMS twice so I am beginning to think that maybe MCMS is not the problem and I have a permission problem with the registry on my machine.
