Cannot login to SharePoint Central Administration, HELP!!
I went and installed SharePoint followed all the instructions in the help
file for installing it to the default. Then when it was complete it had me
reboot my server. However the instructions say that a web page will be
loaded that will allow me to finish configuring the server. Here are the
instructions:

Install Windows SharePoint Services
If you do not have Windows SharePoint Services, you can download it from the
Microsoft Web Site.
1.. On the computer where you want to install Windows SharePoint Services,
insert the Windows SharePoint Services CD into your server computer's CD-ROM
drive or connect to a network installation point.
2.. Click Start, and then click Run.
3.. In the Open box, type d:\setupsts.exe (where d: is your computer's
CD-ROM drive or network installation point).
The Windows SharePoint Services Setup program opens.
4.. On the End-User License Agreement (EULA) panel, review the terms,
select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement check box, and then
click Next.
5.. On the Type of Installation panel, click the Server Farm option, and
then click Next.
6.. On the Summary panel, verify that only Windows SharePoint Services
will be installed, and then click Install.
Setup runs and installs Windows SharePoint Services.
When setup completes, a browser will launch and the Configure Admin
Virtual Server page will be displayed.

However, when the computer rebooted I did not get into the Configure Admin
Virtual Server page. Now I can not logon to the "SharePoint Central
Administration". How do I get to that Configure Admin Virtural Server page?
Any clues out there for what I can do to finish my install?
Thanks

RE: Cannot login to SharePoint Central Administration, HELP!!
Since after installation the webpage is displayed and only when the reboot
happens you cannot log in. have you checked the event log? did the services
for wss start? Is that account used for wss service active (meaning the
account isn't disabled or password expired? also try checking the iis app
pool for wss.
