Sharepoint 2003, sp2. User edit the default.aspx page by going to IE, Source, Edit in Notepad, and remove a referenced .jpg and added an html tage. Now the page says "this web part page has been modifie since you opened it. You must open the page again". Refresh. What can I do to fix this problem? They didn't make a backup of the default.aspx page.
Go back to a pre "Edit in Notepad" backup (and make sure you point the finger at the idiot who edited in Notepad) If it's a friend of yours try to replace the default.aspx with a working one from another installation (an even more unlikely to suceed try is to create a new site under the first one and use the default.aspx from that). To get either of these to work you'll probably need to make amendments to the page - don't do them in Notepad :) Mike Walsh WSS FAQ http://www.wssfaq.com / http://wss.collutions.com no private questions please Kristina wrote: > Sharepoint 2003, sp2.
