linked schemas
Hi Everyone,

I'm using a schema in a mapping project which references the Dublin Core
schema with the following line
 <xs:import
schemaLocation="http://dublincore.org/schemas/xmls/simpledc20021212.xsd"
namespace="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" />

The schema exists at that location, however, when i build my project i'm
told that the reference is invalid with the following message:

Node "<Schema>" - Schema reference
"http://dublincore.org/schemas/xmls/simpledc20021212.xsd" is not a valid
reference or does not exist in the current project.

Not really sure what is required for this to work. From my previous
experience using the wsdl.exe tool, you had to specifically provide all the
required references for the tool to work. I'm wondering whether this might
be similar in this instance. If this is the case, do i need to add the
required linked schemas into my project?

thanks,
Andrew

I think so, yes. I believe BizTalk at runtime will not get any schemas
that aren't deployed. This is to make sure schemas haven't been
tampered with...

Re: linked schemas
Thanks for the response Jan,

It's a shame I need to trawl through the schemas and retrieve all the
references. In fact, I think i'll probably abandon the attempt on this
occasion. Since not only will I have to find and download the schema's, i'll
also have to edit them (to point to the newly downloaded references).

Are you aware of any other tools that can help out with mapping xsd
schema's? I've used Altova MapForce which seemed much more suitable in my
case, however it's relatively expensive.

I haven't come across other solutions, no.
