Reconnecting previously disabled acccount to mailbox
I have a user that no longer is with the company and the account was
disabled. Now of course someone needs to gain access to the email for that
account. I have re-enabled the user account, but cannot gain access to the
email. Keep getting the error "You don't have permission to log on". We are
using Exchange 2000 server and Outlook 2000. Any thoughts on how to get into
that email again?
Thanks

Hi,

Normally that is just a question of patience - after re-enabling an account
it can take some time before the mailbox will let you in.

Thanks for your response Leif.
Unfortunately even after a weekend I am still getting the same error
message. Would there be anyway to get back into this mailbox?

Re: Reconnecting previously disabled acccount to mailbox
Hello
I would try to use ExMerge to extract the mailbox data to an .pst -file. You
can mount this .pst in Outlook, or migrate back into a new mailbox.

Check Send As / Receive As permissions if extract of the mailbox does not
work.
