Hello all. we had a crash on our exchange cluster this weekend while moving datacenters. We spent a solid 20 hours or so restoring and getting it up and running. Everything is working fine except for one thing. When we restored we somehow lost the second SMTP address that was stamped for everyone. Late last year we went from "last name"@domain.com to "first_name.last_name@domain.com". Everyone retained their original email address so they could still recieve mail from it. However after this weekends fiasco those "last_name@domain.com" email addresses are gone. i check the default Recipient policy and it's there. i cleared the box, rechecked it, it asked me if i wanted to apply, i said yes. nothing happened. i went into the RUS and did a rebuild and update now, nothing happened. I went into ASDI edit and cleared all the "gatewayProxy" values and reran the RUS, nothing happened. what the hell am i missing? ? ? ? ? thanks in advance. d
Hi, You need to increase the diagnostics logging on the RUS and see what this tells you: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;288807 Leif "dominicc." wrote in message news:2650E66B-0ED0-4CC1-9491-B193C53718F5@microsoft.com... > Hello all. > > we had a crash on our exchange cluster this weekend while moving > datacenters. thanks- been there done that. I figured out my problem, my ldap querey was bad- i fixed that and it banged them out in less than a minute. thanks for the reply though; i think sometimes i just need to walk away from it for a couple hours and then come back to it with a clear head.
