Migrate exchange 2000 to exchange 2003
Hi everybody:

I have to migrate Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 but the new Exchange 2003
is going to be in a new machine. I have read that i have to move all
mailboxes to the new server with Exchange 2003 but what happens with
clients??. I mean, both servers Exchange 2000 and Exchange 2003 can't have
either the same name nor the same IP and my Outlook clients are configured
to the Exchange 2000 server. What can I do so clients point to the new
server without having to change the Outlook client.

Thank's in advance

Hi Solboy!

Just keep old Exchange 2000 server up&running until all clients at least
once try to connect to it - they will be automatically rerouted to new
Exchange server...
You can safely remove old Exchange server after all clients reconfigure...
