Hi, Environment: Windows 2000 SP4, Exchange 2000 SP4, Symantec Antivirus 9.0, Veritas BackupExec 9.1. We have been having an issue for months now with some messages being resent after server reboots. From my experience, this occurs with mass emails sent to external recipients. I used the mfcmapi tool (that I learned about in another NG posting) to clear the temp tables a few months ago, but more messages have become stuck there and I don't know why. Our antivirus (Symantec Antivirus 9.0) is set to *not* scan the exchsrvr folder and the M: drive. The VS_1\Queue folder is empty. Anyone know why messages would be getting stuck in the temp tables and how I can stop them from getting stuck? My users are starting to get pretty upset about these mass emails being resent on reboot. Let me know if I should provide more details. Thanks, Christian Wyglendowski
Hi, Did you also exclude this folder from Symantec scanning: VS_1\Queue See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328841/en-us Leif wrote in message news:1135185654.649591.53250@g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > Hi, > > Environment: Windows 2000 SP4, Exchange 2000 SP4, Symantec Antivirus > 9.0, Veritas BackupExec 9.1. > > We have been having an issue for months now with some messages being > resent after server reboots. To answer your question, yes, I did exclude that folder as well. The exchsrvr folder and all sub folders are excluded. Thanks, Christian
