Mail not flowing in?
I have run my exchange 2K server for some time. I have recently changed my
ISP and have a new static IP address. I have changed this new static IP
address with my public dns servers a few days ago. The problem now is that I
can send mail internal and external to any other address. However this mail
flow is not coming in. any suggestion. If someone would like to test my
domain it is wbafn.com.

Thanks for your suggestions

Re: Mail not flowing in?
Hi,

Your server doesn't answer SMTP connection attempts:
http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx?domain=wbafn.com&detailed=1

Did you reconfigure your firewall to redirect the new IP address to your
Exchange server?

Re: Mail not flowing in?
no firewall cofiguration changes have been made. However because I am using a
new ISP do you think I have to reconfigure my SMTP.

Re: Mail not flowing in?
Hi,

It should not be necessary to reconfigure your SMTP (it is probably
configured to receive SMTP mails from all external IP addresses).

I would have a look at firewall config just in case - as I wrote in my first
post your server does not respond to SMTP connect attempt and this could be
caused by the firewall blocking.

Re: Mail not flowing in?
The only configuring change I have made to my exchange networks is that I
have changed from a dial up network to a hi speed satellite solution. A new
DW6000 Direcway modem has been installed and I do not believe there is a
firewall built in to it. Do u have any knowledge if there is. Here is the URL
for the modem from the companies site if you would not mind reviewing.

Re: Mail not flowing in?
Hi,

I don't have any experience with that modem, but as I assume that you only
have 1 public IP address, this IP address has to be forwarded to the
exchange server on port 25 so there has to be some configuration that needs
to be done in the modem.

Re: Mail not flowing in?
Is there any chance that this DW6000 modem does not have an option to forward
smtp on port 25. From your review for the wbafn.com domain does ths DNS look
good on the public dns servers.
