Big system messages block SMTP queue
Hi

This is the second time the following problem occurs :
I have 2 exchange servers on 2 differents sites, linked by VPN.
The problem is that big messages (this time 11, 14 and 27Mb) seem to block
the SMTP queue in one of my servers.
These messages are from address "server1"-IS@"mydomain" to address
"server2"-IS@"mydomain". I guess "IS" means Information Store and therefore I
think that can be replication messages or other system messages.
After about 1 hour, the big messages finally disappear from the queue,
followed by the other blocked messages and the messages transfer goes back to
normal.

Does anyone know what are this "server1"-IS@"mydomain" messages?
Is there a way to solve the issue?

Thank you in advance for your help

Yann

Re: Big system messages block SMTP queue
Hi,

My guess is that your users are posting large emails to public folders and
that you are replicating these public folders between servers.
