Hi, there is "How to upgrade Windows 2000 domain controllers to Windows Server 2003" (kb325379) and the information that the Exchange 2000 schema defines three inetOrgPerson attributes with non-Request for Comment (RFC)-compliant. I'm looking for following migrationpath. - Upgrading Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 in an active directory with Windows 2000 domain controllers. Questions: - By upgrading AD and Exchange 2000 to 2003 what should be done first? a. adprep and upgrading dc's to 2003 and then Exchange 2003 forestprep? b. First do Exchange 2003 forestprep and then upgrading dc's to 2003? Thanks! Soheil
Hi, There is no preferred order so you can do it in any order you like. If you perform the exchange setup /forestprep first you avoid the mangled attributes you get when running adprep first but that is all.
