We have a site called XYZ. From the Exchange 2003 server Manager shows the site to have 2 exchange servers. 1 Exchange 5.5 (inactive) and 1 Exchange 2003. I have inherrited this from a previous IT admin. I started the process to remove the Exchange 5.5 server from the site. The Exchange 5.5 server does not physically exist. Loaded the Exchange 5.5 admin console. Removed the 5.5 server from there. Found that the ADC was not configured correctly (bad passwords). The 5.5 admin colsole shows that it is gone. I have fixed the password issue on the ADC but the 2003 server manager still shows the 5.5 server grayed out. What can I do to get it removed so that I can get Exchange into native mode? Any Help would be appreciated.
