Anyone install the Exchange 12 Beta?
I'm looking for some features on the unified messaging front and want to
know how well it would act as a VM system. Does it have the Features to
become our VM system, or is it some kind of Add on to an existing System?

Thanks,
   Scott<-

RE: Anyone install the Exchange 12 Beta?
Hello Scott,

Thank you for posting.

I have read your post carefully, but I do not understand your goals
clearly. I am providing some information of Unified Messaging Server.
The concept of Unified Messaging is new to the Exchange product line, and
its introduction brings with it new telephony concepts that may not be
familiar to an Exchange administrator.
Exchange Server "12" Unified Messaging combines voice messaging, fax, and
e-mail into one Inbox, which can be accessed from the telephone and the
computer. Unified Messaging integrates Exchange Server "12" with the
telephony network in your organization and brings the features found in
Unified Messaging to the core of the Exchange Server product line.

This post appears to concern a product that has not yet been released. The
Public Managed newsgroups are provided for selected released products.

You may find support for this and most beta products from Microsoft
Corporation at https://beta.microsoft.com.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Re: Anyone install the Exchange 12 Beta?
Thank you for your information. Upon going to the beta.Microsoft.com
website, it asked me for a 'Guest ID' Which I do not have.

My goal is to replace my Existing PBX's Voicemail System with something and
I was hoping that something would be the new version of Exchange. It seems
to have all of the features of a normal VM box, though I was looking for
more information on the general operation as a VM system. Does it have the
ability to have multiple System/Automated Attendants, Call Queuing, and some
other features.

I'd rather not invest in some other product if I know that Exchange 12 would
have some of the features I'm looking for.

Thank you,
  Scott<-

Re: Anyone install the Exchange 12 Beta?
Hi Scott,

I understand your concerns. Since the product has not been released, I can
not provide you the more detailed information. According to my experience,
there are always some differences between the released products and the
beta products. Thank you for your understanding.

We will be happy to provide you some detailed information when Exchange 12
is released. Thank you for choosing Microsoft.

Sincerely,
