Bad Install of E2003 SP1
W2K3 SP1 / E2k3

I had someone else do an exchange install and now I have some horrendous
problems. They just blew past all the errors on the install instead of
trying to
correct before continuing.

I cannot remove exchange by just de-installing because I get a number of
errors.

If I manually remove Exchange from the server, can I then install again or
do I have
to do anything else?

Also, if the machine has W2K3 SP1, the only fix I need before installing
E2K3 SP1 is:
KB913446?

Please you help is most appreciated.

I would first try re installing Exchange over itself. If this does not fix
the problems you might be able to get it to the point where you can
uninstall it.

Re: Bad Install of E2003 SP1
Hi,

It is best if you can uninstall - this way the server will also be removed
from active directory. If you can't uninstall I would recommend to remove
the server from AD
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;278918 ) and then
start all over with the server (format etc).

After installing windows sp1 you need to install the hotfix from 913446.
