new forest/domain
Hi,
I need some help! My company has decided to create a new forest and domain
for many reasons
so thing is that we have created the new forest and domain the plan is to
leave the root empty and created a new domain tree wanting to install the
first exchange server there and not in the root. right now i unable to. can
this be done before i start banging my head on a wall trying to get this to
work.

Re: new forest/domain
Hi,

Sure this can be done.

Run Exchange setup /forestprep in the root domain and /domainprep in the
child domain and you should be able to install.

If not please post what happens when you try.

Re: new forest/domain
Hi Leif,
I am talking about a domain tree with leaving the root of the forest/domain
empty and setting up the 1st exchange sever in the domain tree that was
created.

thanks

Re: new forest/domain
Hi,

Yes, I understand. You must still extend the schema with exchange attributes
in the root domain by running /forestprep.
