Intelligent Message Filtering v2
Dear All,

I have installed the SP2 for my Exchange 2003 st. But now I can see that
certain registry modification are requred and a special container is required
for this new version of IMF. However I did install SP2 without naking these
modifications. My questin is can I perform these changes now, are they still
neceseary in order the IMF to work. I belive this may explain the error
mesage for mails highr that 3MB are not getting filtered at all.

Thank you

Bujar Lushta

You don't actually need to do any registry edits for the IMF within
SP2 to function and you should find it working except that mails over
3MB are likely to be legitimate anyway. Do you get spam over 3MB in
size?

Re: Intelligent Message Filtering v2
Dear Mark,

Thank you for your advise, to answer your question no I'm not getting any
spam with 3MB ore higher, however when someone sends me an e-mail with 3Mb
I'm getting this enoing message on my event log that the IMF won’t filter
this mail. Well a colleague of main told me that this is a bug, and that this
may be fixed with some patch ore so. However the filter is working, I just
was concerned about this when I read the prerequisites before installing SP2.

Sincerely

Bujar Lushta

I've never had a spammer send a 3MB file in. What kind of spam are you
getting that's so big?!?!?

Re: Intelligent Message Filtering v2
Dear Mark,

It's not a SPAM, every regular mail send to as with 3MB ore high attachment
gets filtered first IMF engine which is afterwards displaying that event
message.
