I have built a second exchange server and followed all of the steps to ensure that the first server is no longer serving any role. I have shut down the server and ensured that mail transfer occurs without any events being logged. I was ready to remove the server when I read some technet articles on problems with IIS after removing exchange. Since IIS on this server also servers several websites, I am looking for anyone who can tell me for certain what happens to IIS when exchange 2003 is removed from a 2003 sp1 server...
