As the title suggests we would like to host 2 different mail stores in one server. We currently have the first storage group already and would like to add another mail store for a new domain we are creating. It will host about 150 users and mailboxes. We currently have 150 users on our first storage group. We are running exchange 2003 enterprise. Reason for this is we dont' have any available machines to host a new exhcnage installation. Can someone please point me in the right direction? thanks
Hi, Not sure exactly what you are asking. To create a new store rightclick the first storage group, select new, mailbox store, give this mailbox store a name and on the database tab add a name and a location for the stm and edb files. Thanks for the reply I guess i was pretty vague. What i would like to do is have one mailstore username@gbrx.com and another mailstore username@gbrxrailservices.com. basically i want to be able to recieve mail from both those addresses on my exchange server using 2 different mailstores. Hi, No problem at all. You can make recipient policies that assign SMTP domain names dependant on the mail store the user mailboxes are located in.
