I am planning on doin a complete reformat and reinstall of server 2000 and exchange 2000. Is there a good resource for directions on how ot correctly backup my data and then get the database remounted and running again? Thanks
Hi, The disaster recovery white paper explains everything: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=326052 The procedure should be as follows: Perform a full backup of the exchange information store Install windows 2000 with the same server name Install Exchange 2000 with the /disasterrecovery switch Install Exchange 2000 service pack with the /disasterrecovery switch Restore the exchange information store.
