Moving DB
DomainA.com - Win2k3 Server and a Exchange 2k3 Server

DomainB.com - Win2k3 Server and a Exchange 2k3 Server ( New Setup without
any user yet )

They are running on a separate AD but on a same network. I'd like to know is
there any way that I can transfer all the mailboxes and public folders from
the Exchange Server in DomainA to the one in DomainB ? ( Refer to Rebecca in
ms.public.win.srv.migration, I got how to migrate the user and stuff from
DomainA to DomainB already )

Thank you in advance !

William

RE: Moving DB
Hi William,

Thanks for your post here.

According to your description, the two Exchange servers are in different
organization as they belongs to different forest.

Hence, you can refer to the following steps to migrate the mailboxes and
public folders:

1. Move mailboxes from Exchange 2000 org to 2003 running Exchange Server
Migration Wizard.

See the following articles for details:

328871 How to use the Exchange Migration Wizard to migrate mailboxes from an
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=328871

262201 How to Set Up the Migration Wizard
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=262201

2. Rehome the public folders via Outlook or Inter-Organization Replication
Tool.

Mothod 1: Using Export\Import wizard in Outlook
==================================

1. Open Outlook and logon to the old Exchange server with a user account
that can access all public folders. Copy all public folders you want to
rehome to a PST file.

2. Open Outlook and logon to new Exchange server with a user account that
has full access to the public folders. Import the PST file to public
folders on distinction Exchange server.

Mothod 2: Using InterOrg Replication Utility
===============================

Use interorg to configure the public folder replication between two
servers. To use interorg utility, we need to configure the original
Exchange server as the publisher and configure the distinction Exchange
server as the subscriber. Install Interorg services on the server boxes.
Download the utility for Exchange 2003 from the link:
