help with taking Exchange 2003 behind hardward firewall   
i want to have a hardware firewall in front of my exchange server 2003. Any 
suggestion of an article on the best way to set this up?

Hi,

Depends of your requirements.

If you only need to send/receive SMTP mails you open port 25 from the
exchange server to the internet. And open port 53 from your DNS servers
If you need to use OWA you open port 443 (or 80)
If you need to use mobile access you open 443
If you need to use POP3 you open ...
etc
etc
