We currently have Exchange 2000 running our email. For a variety of reason, we do not want to upgrade that server to Exchange 2003 right now. We need to setup a front end exchange server for security reason for internet connections. Can I install Exchange 2003 on another server and have it connect as a front end server to the existing Exchange server 2000 machine? If so, will this then give me the functionality of Outlook 2003 over HTTP for email access and the new OWA interface? Thanks all Lee
Hi, You can use an exchange 2003 standard edition server as a front-end server for your existing exchange 2000 server. It will however not give you the exchange 2003 OWA look (only owa 2000 look).
