I hope this is the correct place for this message. I'm using Exchange 2000. Just this morning I receive some SPAM, and about 5 of the 35 I received didn't show me the IP Address that the messages were received from. Ususally I see something like this: Microsoft Mail Internet Headers Version 2.0 Received: from usen-221x248x62x124.ap-US01.usen.ad.jp ([221.248.62.124]) by server1.x.com with Microsoft SMTPSVC(5.0.2195.6713); Wed, 25 May 2005 08:00:44 -0700 In the messages I am referring to, I saw this: Microsoft Mail Internet Headers Version 2.0 Received: by server1.x.com id <x>; Wed, 25 May 2005 07:57:10 -0700 content-class: urn:content-classes:message MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: application/ms-tnef; name="winmail.dat" Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary Subject: Well well wlel! Or is it a workaround that can be configured in Exchange 2003? This is the first time I have seen this. I have been told that it is up to the receivng system to report the IP Address that it was received from. Is this info correct?
